Prepare for earthquakes

Since February 26, 2024, seismic activity has been active off the east coast of Chiba Prefecture, and several earthquakes have been observed in our city.

According to the results of a survey by the Earthquake Research Commission, released by the Japan Meteorological Agency, "Strong tremors should be watched for in the future, as there is a possibility that earthquakes will continue to occur and strong tremors of intensity 5 or lower may be observed.

Citizens are advised to prepare for earthquakes once again by paying close attention to earthquake information, checking hazard maps and other information on dangerous areas in your area, and checking your stockpiles and emergency supplies.

Also, in the event of a strong tremor, act for your own safety first.
